Disney’s Star Wars-Themed Lands Will Be Called ‘Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge’

Disney’s Star Wars-themed lands coming in 2019 to Disneyland & Disney’s Hollywood Studios will be called Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge.

The big news was revealed today during the Disney Parks and Resorts panel at D23. Although no exact dates were revealed, we do know that the Disneyland version in Anaheim will be opening first. The announcement comes just one day after the company gave us a first look at the attractions in the parks.

Visitors will be able to “visit a remote trading port on the edge of wild space, where Star Wars characters and their stories come to life – and where guests will find themselves in the middle of the action,” according to ohmydisney.com.

Visitors will also be able to “hang out with characters like Chewbacca, BB-8, members of the First Order, and more!”
