Kyrie Irving’s ‘Uncle Drew’ Movie Has A Star-Studded Cast

Remember the Uncle Drew movie that was announced earlier this year? It’s still happening. In fact, our first look at the film has arrived and it’s pretty star-studded.

On Tuesday morning, Sportscenter tweeted a photo of Kyrie Irving in his iconic Uncle Drew costume alongside very-aged versions of Nate Robinson, Chris Webber, Lisa Leslie, Reggie Miller and Shaquille O’Neal.

Get Out‘s Lil Rel Howery and Erica Ash from Survivor’s Remorse were also posed for the photo.

According to Deadline, the film will focus on Lil Rel’s character Dax who, after draining his life savings to enter a team in the Rucker Classic street ball tournament, is dealt some unfortunate setbacks, including losing his team to his longtime rival (Nick Kroll). Somehow, Dax stumbles upon streetball legend Uncle Drew and persuades him to return to the court one more time.

A release date for the Charles Stone III-directed film is unknown, so stay tuned for any updates. For now, you can take a look at the first-look photo below.
