The Weeknd Ends His Partnership With H&M Over Their Racist Hoodie Ad

Let it be known that The Weeknd will not tolerate racist ads from any of his business partners. In case, you’ve been sleep for most of the day, H&M is currently at the hand of some very reasonable backlash for using a black kid to model its Coolest Monkey In The Jungle Hoodie. I don’t know why they thought it was a good idea, but The Weeknd ain’t having it.

The superstar crooner took to Twitter on Monday to denounce his partnership with the fashion giant. “Woke up this morning shocked and embarrassed by this photo,” he wrote. “I’m deeply offended and I will not be working with H&M anymore.”

Sucks for H&Clueless. Every collab they’ve had with the Toronto native has almost always sold out in a short amount time. As of now, there’s no word on if they already had something else cooking up. However, if they did, I’m sure Abel will make sure it never sees a shelf.
