Eminem-Produced ‘Bodied’ Film Is Coming To YouTube Red

After making its debut at the Toronto International Film Festival in late 2017, Bodied — the Joseph Kahn-directed battle rap comedy produced by Eminem — is about to release beyond the eyes of professional critics and corporations.

On Wednesday, it was announced that YouTube has acquired the worldwide rights to the film. According to Deadline, a preview of Bodied will be shown at the Sundance Film Festival this upcoming Sunday, followed by a theatrical release before it makes its debut on YouTube Red later this year.

Bodied follows Adam Merkin (Calum Worthy), a grad student-turned-battle rapper whose success outrages Oakland’s underground hip-hop scene.

The film features a number of notable battle rappers like Loaded Lux, Dizaster, Hollow Da Don, Arsonal, and more. Watch the trailer below and stay tuned for a premiere date.
