Cavs Send Isaiah Thomas And Channing Frye To The Lakers For Larry Nance Jr. And Jordan Clarkson

Today is the absolute last day that NBA teams can trade to improve their teams this season, and the Cavs just pulled the plug on one of its biggest names.

According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, they’re sending Isaiah Thomas, Channing Frye and a 2018 first-round pick to the Lakers for Larry Nance Jr. and Jordan Clarkson.

But the trades didn’t stop there. GM LeBron — I mean the Cavs sent more players packing. Jae Crowder, Iman Shumpert and Derrick Rose were dealt in a three-way trade with the Utah Jazz and Sacramento Kings for Rodney Hood and George Hill.

That’s not it though. Dwayne Wade was sent back to Miami in exchange for a second-round pick:

Hey — at least he was kind enough to send Wade back to South Beach.

The big trades mark a fresh start for Cleveland and it’s one hell of an upgrade from an age perspective. LeBron is now equipped with more athletic wing players, giving him the opportunity to run the floor as fast as he wants. Whether or not the deals will work out in the long run is to be seen. However, things look good for now.

What do you say about a Boston matchup in the Conference Finals? Cavs in 7…years?
