If you thought LaVar Ball was putting all of his eggs in a sports and fashion basket, you don’t know a damn thing about him. The budding mogul just announced that his Big Baller Brand label is partnering with Lithuanian water company Birstonas Mineral Water to bring BBB-branded water to the United States.

The move is one for the books, as it will likely make Lonzo Ball the youngest NBA player to ever have a water endorsement (LaVar stat).
In a recent interview with Lithuanian site 15min.It, the big baller himself talked about the lack of water campaigns in the league and basically how shitty the country is for ignoring it. “Which NBA player is advertising water? No one,” said LaVar. “Everyone in the US is for some reason too proud for water campaigns. There are energy drinks that get advertised, but no one even thought about water.”
As usual, he’s speaking nothing but facts. The only superstar with anything close to a pure beverage endorsement is Steph Curry, who advertises Brita water filters. Most athletes in the NBA are either endorsing Powerade or Gatorade, leaving the market for league water wide open.
LaVar is tapping untouched territory. Don’t be surprised if BBB water ends up in your local grocery store at some point. The man is on a mission.
